THE IDEA BEHIND IT

A blade of grass becomes a tree. A drop becomes a lake. A coffee bean becomes a meeting point.

Perhaps the magic of tiny worlds lies in their ability to shift our usual perspective. Stories and films about tiny inhabitants, secret places, or shrunken people have fascinated us for decades. Just think of old film classics like The Incredible Shrinking Woman, in which everyday objects suddenly appear like vast landscapes.

Precisely this idea is behind Mano et Arte's Tiny Worlds collection: What happens when we look at the world not from our size, but from the perspective of a small creature?

CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE

The motifs don't tell grand adventures. They discover the small ones.

An ant encounters a coffee bean. To us, hardly worth mentioning – to it, perhaps a cafe. A bee transforms pollen into pastries. A field mouse finds a place for tea time in an old teapot. Ladybugs wander through morning dew, and by the pond, a watering can becomes a small ice cream parlor.

THE MUGS

The idea evolved into illustrated ceramic mugs.

The Tiny Worlds motifs are printed on classic 0.33-liter ceramic mugs. The durable sublimation print is particularly suitable for fine lines, soft watercolor colors, and small details that you don't see at first glance – but perhaps only with your second coffee.
