When the bloom is gone, the structure remains
After Bloom draws attention to a moment that is easily overlooked: seed heads, dry stems, and the delicate traces of a summer that is already fading.
In the harsh light, the plants almost emerge from the darkness. Radial lines, golden-brown seed heads, and filigree webs form a composition between natural observation and graphic abstraction.
The bloom is not the focus
The photograph shows the plant not at the peak of its bloom, but afterwards. Precisely in this state, forms become visible that previously remained subtly hidden: frameworks, branches, repetitions, and almost architectural structures.
The deep dark background isolates individual plant parts from their surroundings. Light and shadow thus become components of the motif themselves. Some areas appear clear and precise, others blur again into the depth – like a memory that cannot be fully captured.
A photographic study of nature between order and transience
Warm browns, golds, and muted greens dominate the image. In between, delicate lines and spiderwebs run through the picture. The seemingly random begins to organize itself: a dried plant transforms into a mesh of light, rhythm, and movement.
Therefore, After Bloom is particularly suitable for rooms where art is allowed to have a calming effect – such as living rooms, studies, bedrooms, hallways, or subtly decorated workspaces.
12-color Giclée print for fine tonal values
The photograph is reproduced using the high-quality 12-color Giclée printing process. Compared to a classic four-color print, the extended color palette allows for more differentiated transitions, finer gradations, and a particularly nuanced reproduction of dark and light areas of the image.
This is crucial for this motif: the deep black tones, warm natural colors, fine stems, and delicate webs thrive on subtle tonal differences and the most precise detail rendering possible.
Matte Fine Art Paper
Printed on smooth, matte paper with a weight of 200 g/m² and a thickness of approximately 0.26 mm. The matte surface reduces distracting reflections and supports the calm, photographic effect of the motif.
The paper used is FSC-certified and thus comes from more responsible sources.

An image for a second look
After Bloom is not a classic floral photograph. Rather, the motif tells of what remains after visible beauty: structure, traces, and a peculiar calm.
Up close, fine details emerge. From a greater distance, lines, darkness, and warm islands of light define the image. Thus, the photograph changes with the viewer's distance and remains open even after a long look.
