Berlin – a bit rough, quite green, and full of stories
Berlin has many faces. Some are on postcards, others hide between old walls, weathered concrete, and overgrown paths.
High above the Grunewald lies one of these special places: the Teufelsberg with its widely visible radar domes. Where a listening station once operated, street art, abandoned architecture, and changing artworks define the landscape today.

The white domes above the Grunewald
The focus of the design is on the characteristic radar domes of the former listening station. Their bright, geometric shapes stand out against the weathered buildings and the lush green of the surroundings.

From a site of surveillance to a space for art
Teufelsberg was created from the rubble of the Second World War. During the Cold War, American and British intelligence services used its elevated position for a listening station.
After its operational use ended, the site changed fundamentally. Artists and street art creators left their mark on the walls of the facility.
