Black and White Forest Photography Art Print "ENLIGHTENMENT." – a forest that, in places, has decided it no longer wants to be one.
The shot was taken in 2022 as part of a photographic series by Mano et Arte. Between tall spruce trees, tree stumps, and an almost inappropriately friendly sky, an image emerges about emptiness, change, and that particular form of human insight that occasionally only sets in after the last tree has been felled.

Black and white forest photography art print about a remarkable form of enlightenment
Light falls into the forest. A lot of light, in fact. Perhaps a little more than originally intended.
ENLIGHTENMENT. shows a forest landscape between tall spruce trees, cleared areas, and numerous tree stumps. The sky opens above it almost solemnly – as if nature had decided to explain the term "enlightenment" in a very practical way once again.
Where the forest suddenly has a view
The shot was taken in 2022 as part of a photographic series by Mano et Arte. The focus is on landscapes and places that appear still at first glance and tell a second story upon closer inspection.
In this photograph, the vertical lines of the remaining trees meet an open, almost barren area. Tree stumps mark what once stood there, while a wide sky opens above.
The title ENLIGHTENMENT. shifts the perception of the image. A documentary forest shot becomes a laconic commentary on progress, insight, and the sometimes astonishing methods with which humans ensure better visibility.
Between landscape photography and black humor
The motif remains intentionally open. It is neither classic nature romanticism nor pure documentation. The black and white aesthetic reduces the landscape to light, lines, surfaces, and structures, thereby enhancing the contrast between dense forest and cleared terrain.
